Teens Encouraged to Create Mobile Content for a Cause
“What’s Your Vision?” Contest Will Benefit Lollipop Theater Network and the Thousands of Hospitalized Children It Serves Each Year
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Online mobile content portal Playscreen today invited teenagers to express their vision for a better world through the creation of unique mobile content. What’s Your Vision?, an online contest, will benefit the Lollipop Theater Network, a nonprofit organization that brings the magic of first-run movies to hospitalized children and teens with chronic or terminal illnesses. VISTAKON®, a division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. and makers of ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses is a supporting advertiser.
To enter the contest, teens should go to playscreen.com, where they can create and upload their own personal mobile content. For each entry received during the contest period, ACUVUE® will donate $1 to the Lollipop Theater Network, up to $10,000, and Playscreen will donate 10 cents each time a contest entry is downloaded.
Visitors to the site will be able to download contestants’ ringtones, wallpapers and videos to use on their own mobile devices. In each of these three categories, the contestant whose entry or entries are downloaded the most will win a MOTORAZR V3m phone. The grand prize winner with the most downloads across the three categories will also win a trip for two to Los Angeles to have lunch with Lollipop Theater Network celebrity supporters Taylor Dooley and Matthew Underwood. Dooley, who starred as Lava Girl in the hit movie “The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D,” appeared most recently in the Halloween thriller “Monster Night.” Underwood plays teen jock Logan on Nickelodeon’s popular “Zoey 101.”
The contest is open to legal residents of the United States age 13-18 at the time of entry. Contest entries will be accepted through January 28 and winners will be determined by the number of downloads through February 11. Contestants can increase their chances of winning by encouraging friends to download their entries with the site’s cell phone short code and email generators.
Contestants also will have the opportunity to sign up for a FREE(a) TRIAL PAIR certificate from ACUVUE® so they can experience for themselves the all-day comfort and crisp, clear vision provided by ACUVUE® ADVANCETM with HYDRACLEAR™, ACUVUE® OASYS™ and other ACUVUE® brand contact lenses.
